It’s possibility. It’s permission. It’s the chance to screw it up, start over, change your mind, and make something that didn’t exist five minutes ago. That’s where Blank Paige comes from.
Yeah, it’s a play on my name. But it’s also a reminder that there is always another page. Another canvas. Another idea. Another chance to become whoever the hell you want to be.
It’s never too late to start again.
I’m an artist, muralist, sculptor, teacher, and lifelong maker based in Granville, Ohio. I grew up in Mount Vernon, Ohio, earned my BFA in sculpture from Ohio Wesleyan University, and somehow turned my obsession with making things into an entire life.
I’ve never been particularly interested in following the rules.
My work is raw, weird, playful, expressive, and sometimes a little chaotic. I pull from graffiti, abstraction, sculpture, nature, music, emotion, and whatever else catches my attention. I like imperfections. I like things that feel handmade. I like work with a pulse. I’m not trying to make art that sits quietly in the corner and behaves itself.
I want it to interrupt you. I want you to stop. Look twice. Question it. Feel something. Maybe laugh. Maybe get uncomfortable. Maybe see something completely different than I did.
There doesn’t always have to be an explanation.
My identity inevitably finds its way into my work. As a queer artist, I know what it feels like to question where you fit and eventually realize that maybe the goal was never to fit in at all. Maybe the goal was to build your own damn space.
So that’s what I’m doing.
- Making things that feel like me.
- Loving who I love.
- Teaching young artists to trust their weird ideas.
- Painting walls.
- Building sculptures.
- Making messes.
- Starting over.
- And filling blank pages.
Because I don’t think we ever really arrive at some final version of ourselves. We’re always becoming. Always changing. Always making something new.
